These terms apply to the download, installation and use of StatViewer. By downloading or using the Software you agree to these terms.
1. Software licence
StatViewer Standard is free and can be used fully offline. Pro is a one-time paid online licence, bound to a device after activation. Third-party component licences are listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md.
2. Activation & device binding
Pro uses a one-time activation code valid for one device and establishes a device authorization binding at activation. The Software validates the licence periodically, with a 72-hour offline grace period; after that Pro features are temporarily locked and unlock automatically once online. Replacing major hardware can use the guided migration flow, while replacing a disk does not require migration; device migration requires a bound and verified email account. Temporary lock, permanent revocation, device disable and forced update are distinct authorization states, as shown in the app's About page. The optional email account is recommended but not required. Activation codes must not be resold, redistributed or used to bypass licensing.
3. Acceptable use
The Software may only be used for lawful purposes. Reverse engineering, cracking, bypassing activation, or distributing or reselling activation codes is prohibited.
4. Disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is". Monitoring data is for reference only and does not constitute any guarantee of hardware condition or system health. The author is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of the Software.
5. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the Software and its assets belongs to the authors (Kris, Elyven). Copying, modifying or distributing them without permission is prohibited.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version published on the official website applies. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
